My favorite sci fi novel is Stranger in a Strange Land by Robert Heinlein. I don't like sci-fi and fantasy either, but that is the sci-fi epic and I think it has a good message to communicate.

In sophemore year we had to read Fahrenheit 451, which I think qualifies as science fiction. It's a classic satire that also has a great message. And I'll also suggest anything by Anne McCaffrey, a great science fiction author.

Crist, yes, I had to read it for my summer reading book for my freshman year, this year. It's really great!

I also suggest Alien secrets.

Isaac Asimov's Robot series of stories like i, Robot, and Robot Dreams are really really good! It's interesting to hear about what he thought life would be like now, and we still don't have a lot of robots around, accept in like museums or other places like that. i still don't have rosie around to make me a cup of coffee when I wake up in the morning. But it's good stuff.

Alien Secrets? Let me try to remember. Well, this kid name Puck had to go on a ship to return to where his parents were, and the ship was full of aliens. This puck kid met this Hush alien and he acts like a father to puck. It’s basically his travels and a bunch of mishaps.
